Ever wondered if the Children’s Tylenol Grape Suspension Liquid is gluten free?
Don’t worry – it is. How about Tum’s Smoothies Cocoa and Cream? Careful – they’re not! Knowing what’s going on inside your medications is something that most of us probably overlook but shouldn’t.
We recently discovered a resource that helps with this aspect of staying healthy,
happy, and gluten free. GlutenFreeDrugs.com lists all sorts of meds, from
analgesics to antibiotics to respiratrory drugs, so that you can check for your
specific needs. Fortunately, most drugs are safe, including Advil, Motrin, Imodium AD, Centrum, and Claritin D. The site lists others (Bufferin regular 325mg and Dimetapp tablets), however, which aren’t safe. It’s a great website to start your pill research.
Additionally, the NFCA is currently running a survey in conjunction with the FDA on gluten in medications. To help, complete their short survey by the end of February. More info is available in their press release.
